Camping Lake Shkodra Resort
Omare, Northern Albania
In the north of the country is Camping Lake Shkodra Resort, the most popular campsite in Albania according to our community and winner of the 2019 camping.info award. Campers especially love the site’s great location, tranquillity, friendliness and cleanliness. The 2.5-hectare site is right on beautiful Lake Shkodra, and it has its own beach with lake access. Try out traditional Albanian cuisine at the site’s restaurant on the beach. This site has 100 pitches and is owned and operated by an Albanian-English family. Campers feel it is perfectly suited for couples and guests with dogs. From the site, it’s easy to head out on an excursion to the Shkodra city centre, about 7 km away, or to Montenegro, only around 24 km away.
Albania Ksamil Caravan Camping
Ksamil, Southern Albania
The Albania Ksamil Caravan Camping at the edge of the small coastal village, Ksamil, is small but lovely. This 4-star campsite at the edge of the Ionian Sea is open all year round. Only 150 m separate the site from the sparkling, blue sea. All along the beach promenade, you’ll find small shops and restaurants where you can enjoy fresh, Mediterranean specialities. How about a day trip kayaking to one of the surrounding islands? One of the three islands is even close enough that you could swim there. A small tortoise has lived on the campsite for 20 years now — Maybe you’ll see it while you’re there!
Camping Tirana
Kashar Tirana, Central Albania
You’ll find a tranquil oasis at Camping Tirana, about 15 km west of the Albania capital. This small, family-operated site is in the hilly countryside, in the village of Kashar on Lake Kusit. Its location is perfect for exploring the capital city during the day and escaping the hustle and bustle at night. The operators of this 3-star site offer excursions and city tours upon request. If you love nature, you should check out the “vineyards with bayonets” or go on a trip to the open-air museum, where you can learn about Albanian history.
Albania - Camping Kranea
Himarë, Southern Albania
Crystal-clear, deep blue waters and one of the prettiest and cleanest beaches on the south-western Albanian Riviera await you at Albania-Camping Kranea. If you want to go swimming, diving, boating or surfing, you’re in the right place here! You’ll be camping in the bay of Livadhi, right on the white, fine-pebble beach and in the shade of an olive grove. Enjoy the incredible sunsets with a view of the outline of the Greek island, Corfu. Given its proximity to the lively coastal town Himara, this campsite is the perfect starting point for various tours through southern Albania and the mountainous hinterland.
Camping Peshku
Pogradec, Southern Albania
Make yourself at home at Camping Peshku: 70 pitches are spread out across 5 hectares, so you have more than enough room. You’ll get a classic camping experience here, because only 30 of the pitches have an electric hook-up. The site is in a one-of-a-kind location on the shore of Lake Ohrid, surrounded by trees, with a sandy beach and crystal-clear waters. Enjoy local trout at the site’s restaurant and take in the breathtakingly beautiful lake view. Hikers and swimmers will especially feel right at home here!
Kamping Pa emer
Kavaja, Central Albania
About 60 km away from Tirana’s airport is Kamping Pa emer, a site surrounded by green hills, olive trees, pines, firs and fruit trees. From here, you can explore Albania’s oldest and loveliest cities: Tirana, Durres, Kruja and Berat are all within 70 km of the campsite. There are 40 pitches for tents and motorhomes lined up near the coast of the Adriatic Sea. The highlight of this 4-star site is the man-made island with a bay for swimming and a restaurant. You can get to the island via a wooden pier that’s 150 m long. It’s a great destination for families with children!
Albania Berat Caravan Camping
Ura Vajgurore, Central Albania
Albania Berat Caravan Camping is surrounded by gorgeous, Albanian landscapes: You’ll enjoy a camping holiday in the countryside amidst palm trees and citrus trees. Treat yourself to the freshly prepared Albanian specialities at the site’s restaurant. This newly opened 5-star campsite is also the perfect starting point for exploring the ‘Museum City’ of Berat. With a 15-minute bus ride, you can get to this ‘City of 1,000 Windows’. Berat is one of the oldest cities in the country, and you should check out the castle on the city’s hill. Berat Castle is the only fortress in Europe where people still reside to this day. It’s definitely worth a visit!
